Student Success: 2nd Place Award in Lidea Startup Program

Emre Öngi, a 4th-year student, along with 3rd-year students Ümit Özdemir and Alp Aslan Özyurt from the Department of Digital Game Design, participated in the Lidea startup program, which supports technology-oriented and innovative ventures by providing mentorship to prepare entrepreneurs for investment and growth processes. Among 73 teams participating from all over Turkey, they were selected as one of the top 15 teams to pitch on the Demoday stage and were awarded the 2nd place prize.
Developed by our students, the application named 'Beatair' is a venture that allows customers to select and vote for songs to be played at their current venue, as well as interact and message with other people in the same location through music. Our students' venture became the only Muğla/Bodrum-based startup to place in this challenging competition, successfully representing our University in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
